In Maths we have focused this half term on place value and addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. We are really beginning to improve our skills in this area.
We started the year reading the very funny but sad story of 'The Boy in the Girls' Bathroom' by Louis Sachar. We wrote lots of diary entries around this story and we even wrote an email to a character.
We then moved onto reading 'An Eye of the Wolf'. We really enjoyed this story and did lots of drama type activities around this text. We ended the term writing a new opening for the story.
In Geography we begun our learning on earthquakes. We learnt what an earthquake is, what causes it and what to do in the vent of an earthquake.
In Science we begun our learning on light by learning how light travels and how fast it travels. We even made a periscope with Mrs Payne.
