What a busy half term! We started with Halloween and bonfire activities and then completed our topic work about people who help us exploring the different emergency services, their uniforms and how they help us. We even had a visit from a police officer who talked to us about their role in the community.
In maths we have been practicing counting to 100, ordering numbers, saying which number is one more/ one less. We began exploring coins and their values, measuring lengths and naming and describing 2d shapes.
In phonics we practised reading and writing simple words, captions and sentences including a wider range of tricky words.
In PE we enjoyed moving over the apparatus with confidence in different ways and performing a Christmas dance entitled ‘The Magic of Christmas’.
We have had a busy Christmas learning songs and dances, making Christmas crafts and Christmas lists and sharing stories of this tradition from our own homes and families.
