We have had a very busy half term.
In English we studied 'Christophe's Story' which we really enjoyed. Thoroughout the unit we enjoyed different activities: drama, study of character feelings, comparison to a character from another story. To finish the topic the children wrote their own narratives based on the book.
In maths we have been working so hard to improve our times table knowledge and to better our speed tables scores. Many children can now complete the test (130 questions) and are now working to improve their time. We have also had a bit push on methods, fractions and word problems.
In other curriculum subjects we have been working on our drawing skills, focusing on tone, shades and cross-hatching and creating observational drawings. We have enjoyed creating sequences in gynmastics where we worked on different rolls. In Science we completed our topic on light and enjoyed tracking our shadows throughout the day.
We have begun preparations for our performance at the end of next term.
