In English we thoroughly enjoyed our work about The Tin Forest. We wrote wonderful descriptions using what we had learnt about expanded noun phrases. We also focused on The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch where again we wrote some lovely stories. We ended the term by watching a clip called 'Something Fishy'. We wrote recounts about our under the sea adventures. We also continued our super learning in our reading lessons where we focused on answering different types of questions.
In maths we had a big focus on arithmetic and used all of our effort and resilience as we added and subtracted and multiplied and divided. We also found time to work on our fractions too!
We enjoyed our topic about growing thing. We all planted seeds in unusual containers and observed them as they grew. We ended our topic with a trip to see Mr Tune at Fieldside Nurseries. He talked to us about how the plants are grown at his nursery. We all asked lots of questions and at the end of the afternoon we all had the opportunity to plant our own bean.
What a super half term we've had!
