Welcome toCrowle Primary AcademyBelieve And You Can Achieve

A look back to Autumn 2

English – We have studied ‘Can’t you Sleep, Little Bear?’ and enjoyed acting out the story. We then looked at a fantastic novel called ‘Orion and the Dark’. The class loved this book and we were able to discuss our fears just like Orion. We wrote descriptive poems about autumn leaves and Bonfire Night.

Maths - We have been looking at shape, numbers to 20 and addition and subtraction. WE have really enjoyed our Maths Mastery this term!

History – We have taken part in a whole school display for Remembrance Day and went to church for a service of Remembrance. We also looked at the Gunpowder Plot and London.

Science - We investigated the changing seasons and light and dark.  We enjoyed exploring shadows and gave good explanations of how shadows are formed. Our favourite part was making Shadow Puppets.

December was a very busy month for us with our excellent production of Prickly Hay, making cards and calendars, enjoying Christmas dinner with our families and friends and our party which included a special visit from Father Christmas himself!
