English - we have enjoyed lots of stories this half term but our favourite has been Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers. We wrote some fabulous diary entries about the boy's journey to the South Pole with the penguin. We are now focusing on non-fiction and are going to be writing reports about penguins.
Maths - we have learnt lots about multiplication and division and telling the time. We have used our maths meetings to revise place value, shape and addition and subtraction.
History - we have enjoyed finding out about old and new toys. WE liked to look at our toys and compare them with toys from the past.
Science - we have investigated the uses of everyday materials and linked this to our toys topic. We carried out an investigation to find out which was the bounciest ball.
PE - we have been learning how to be like a gymnast - walking with pointed toes and creating our own sequences including tuck, pike and straddle positions. In outdoor PE we have been practising rolling, bouncing and catching.
