We have had a very busy half term in the Foundation unit. The children have worked hard on learning their phonics sounds and blending sounds for reading. They have also started to segment sounds for writing. We have focused on letter formation, the writing of simple words, learning the alphabet and blending sounds for reading. We also enjoy learning our tricky words through songs and games.
In math's we have ensured that we know how numbers can look different e.g. the way objects are arranged. We have also learnt about the concept of zero and focused on the language; more, less, fewer, greater, the same and different.
Every day we continue to refine our gross and fine motor control and strive to complete teacher challenges. We have learnt about people who can help us and completed lots of learning about the Christmas story.
