Looking forward to Spring Term
This term we will start our new novel study based on a book by Maz Evans called Who Let The Gods Out. We will be exploring Greek mythology related to the text, writing in different genres and working on our comprehension skills.
In maths we will continue to focus on using the four operations, times tables and incorporate lots of reasoning activities into our learning.
Our Geography and History work will link directly to our novel study. Our Geography big question will be 'Why do people choose to go to the Mediterranean on their holidays?'
In art we will be designing book covers in relation to our text.
Autumn Term 2
This term should be exciting and full of great learning! We all made a fantastic start to our new class in September and we are now ready to continue our learning journey together.
In maths we will be focusing on multiplication and division then moving onto shape. Remember to use RockStar maths and the active learn games to support your learning.
In English our novel study will be based on The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe this half term and using this text to explore artic climates and other linked topics.
Science this half term will allow us to investigate solids, liquids and gases. Then move on to the changes in state of materials.
Our art work will allow us to explore printing with string.

I hope you've had a fabulous summer break.
Our topic this term will be 'How can we re-discover the world of Ancient Egypt?' We will enjoy a history and geography focus as well as exploring the topic through art - including a wonderful inspire afternoon.
During our science sessions we will be exploring Electricity and visiting Magna!
Our PE lessons are on Monday and Wednesday - please remember to remove earrings for these days.

A look forward to Autumn 1
We will be reading Tuesday by David Weisner and Bill's New Frock by Anne Fine this half term, exploring these texts together and composing different writing tasks. Maths will have an addition and subtraction focus leading to fractions before half term. We will be exploring Ancient Egypt as part of our history topic and look forward to seeing you at inspire on Thursday 5th October at 1:15pm.
