Welcome to Spectacled Owls!

REMEBER IT IS OUR CLASS ASSEMBLY ON TUESDAY 14.7.15 AT 8.30AM

This term our topic is 'Global Gardens'. For the first half term we will be carrying out a geographical study comparing Crowle to Lesotho in Africa. We will be learning about the continents of the world and how countries are warmer if they are nearer the equator. We will be learning about the similarities and differences between children, school, toys and food, with a particular focus on how food is grown.

In science we will be learning about plants and living things in their habitats.

In art we will be studying the work of David Hockney. We will be focusing on his photo collage work and his more recent use of the iPad to create some of his art work. We will then use digital media to create our own work in a similar style.

We have been using a fantastic website to help us learn how to code. The children have enjoyed this enormously. If they would like to have a go at home you need to Google 'Hour of Code' or use the link below . We have been learning code using the Angry Bird game.
Here is the website if you would like to have a go. It is also good fun for adults.
