The reception children have all settled amazing well this half term. They have made lots of new friends and are getting used to the structures and routines of the day. Keep up the good work Little Owls.
The children have embraced our maths mastery learning and love our daily maths meeting sessions. They particularly enjoy the months of the year song and the formation to 9 song. Here is some of our maths learning.
To the rescue
After reading 'Charlie and the firefighter the children had a wonderful time role playing at being firefighters. They even had the challenge to build their own fire engine before they could travel to the blaze. Fantastic team work Little Owls.
Visiting Toads and Snails
After leanring about hibernation the children had a visit from African Land snails and two different variety of toads including the packman toad. We learnt how toads often hibernate when the weather is hot and there is not enough water around. We learnt lots of interesting facts from Kathryn who brought in these animals to share with us.
Exploring our learning
The children have tried hard to use their effort, resillience and growth mindset to complete lots of challenges and play with different things in the environment. Here our a few photos from our independent learning.
Little Owls love to learn and challenge themselves.
