Hi-lights of Autumn 2
Barn Owls have had a wonderful second half of autumn term.
Here are some of our highlights:-
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Our novel was such a fantastic inspiration for our reading and writing activities. We particularly enjoyed describing the colourful characters and re-writing the final battle.
Our remembrance activities helped us to reflect on the lives of people in our community in the past.
In French we have been learning how to say numbers 0-30, the days of the week and colours and how much things cost through stories such as Grandmère Denise and games.
Our science learning about plants was jam-packed with experiments and activities. We particularly enjoyed our plant diary to find out what a plant needs to live and grow.
Christmas is always a busy time of year in Barn Owls. We have made decorations cards and calendars but most of all we enjoyed finding out about Christingles and making our own in RE.
