This term we have been enjoying our new novel, 'The Unforgotten Coat'. Our first writing piece was a radio script for our very own Crowle, highlighting things to see and do. As we delved deeper into the book and got to know the characters, we wrote diaries in role, exploring the emotions of one of the main characters, Chingis. Our third piece of writing from the book was an explanation text, for this we conducted a coke and mentos experiment and used this investigation within our writing. Next we completed some rsearch on Mongolia (the setting of our book) and used the information to write a report. We completed the half term by writing a Q&A interview with the author, Frank Cottrell-Boyce.
Overall, a very busy term of writing!
In maths we got to grips with fractions, decimals and percentages and then focused on angles, really improving our accuracy at drawing and measuring angles.
