We have loved our learning this half term.
In English we found out about penguins and wrote fantastic reports about them. We learnt how to proof read and edit our writing using editing stations; we now know how to check our own spellings and look if we have used capital letters and full stops correctly. We also enjoyed our Little Red Riding Hood novel study. We wrote fantastic character descriptions and instructions for how to get to Grandma's cottage and how to eat a grandma!
In our maths lessons we learnt how to tell the time, find fractions of shapes and quantities and how to add and subtract 2-digit numbers.
Our favourite topic has been our science topic about plants and birds around our school grounds. We can now recognise and name a wide variety of plants and birds, we know the different parts of plants and trees and know what their function is and we have loved using the ipads to take photographs of our favourite plants.
Once again, we have had a fantastic half term and you have all made me one very proud teacher!
