What a busy term we have had!
In English we have worked so hard on our extended narratives based on the novel, 'The Unforgotten Coat'. Here we chose our own school setting and created our own characters and took them on their own interesting journey of friendship and fear.
In maths, we worked hard on fractions and percentages and enjoyed our unit on transformations.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our unit of work on OAA - we focused heavily on teamwork and co-operation and played different games to encourage this. We also explored different maps, creating faces and matching symbols. It was great!
We also really enjoyed our geography learning on maps and locality. We have explored land use and how this differs from place to place. We studied and drew our own maps of the local area. We looked at compass directions and use this to plan routes between locations. We also enjoyed learning about grid references and used these to locate things on a map.
At the end of term we enjoyed the Easter activity - the egg roll! Each child decorated an egg and rolled it down a ramp, the winner from each class going head-to-head in a battle at the end of the day! We had great fun!
