The children had to work hard to negotiate with their partner and decide how to build a house for one of the little pigs. We made this into a competition. The children had to build a house that would fit in a toy pig and not blow away when put in front of the hair dryer. The children could select any resources from around the classroom. They had a choice of glue, tape and dough to fix parts together. The most tricky part of the task was working together and taking into account other peoples ideas.
Enjoying the outdoors- whatever the weather
We just love learning outside, we have participated in outdoor role play, writing, number writing and ordering, peddling and scooting and what time is it Mr Wolf. We have also started to prepare our garden for spring when we will be planting fruit and vegetables.
The children have enjoyed using Rainbow Writing to support them with writing sentences about the traditional tales that we have been reading.
