It has been an incredibly busy and exciting half term for Snowy Owls, we have packed a great deal of learning into the first half term and had a lot of fun as well!
We have had our interest captured by our Ancient Egypt topic; we have explored the River Nile and its importance in the life of Ancient Egyptians; Howard Carter and his marvellous discovery of the tomb of King Tutankhamun and discovered how archaeologists are able to tell, us so much about the how the Ancient Egyptians lived, and the importance of the Rosetta stone!
We really enjoyed making ancient Egyptian masks in clay and painting them using Tutankhamun and the Egyptian gods as our inspiration.
During our English sessions we have completed our own Egyptian stories, using our developing rainbow writing skills to help ensure we used a variety of sentence structures.
PE has been great this half term. We have been perfecting our rolls! We performed our rolls during a 'Teach Me' pitch assembly we were so confident!
