A look back at summer
We have had a fabulous summer term! We have really enjoyed studying George's Marvellous Medicine by Roald Dahl. At the end of the novel study we wrote a new chapter for the story and thoroughly enjoyed deciding what kind of potion we made and who the recipient would be. We used language features such as alliteration, onomatopoeia and similies in our chapters - just like Roald Dahl!
We thoroughly enjoyed our shadow puppetry workshop at 20:21 in Scunthorpe and our visit to Scunthorpe Central library. We couldn't believe how many books are available to us. We all got library cards and chose a book. We decided that we would definitely be using Crowle library much more from now on!
We also enjoyed exploring entertainment in the 20th century in history and how it compared to our lives today and our computing animation topic.
We completed this half term with an art and design technology project. We enjoyed using tie dye techniques, designing a cushion and making a cushion.
This term we also had our sports day and a printing workshop led by a local artist Martin Maywood.
A very busy term indeed!
