Homes and Communities
We continue our topic work by discussing where we live. We will look at the habiitats of various animals as well as discussing our own homes/town/country. Our Topic work will continue to be making a book all about ourselves.
Towards the end of the half term we will focus on the Christmas celebration and the Nativity story.
We will be learning to move in a variety of ways during our Wiggle and Giggle sessions. We will also be developing our fine motor skills by threading and using a pincer grip when picking up small objects. Practising pencil movements and scissor skills.
Communication and Language
We will be looking at and listening to lots of stories, learning lots of new rhymes and of course songs for Christmas.
In maths we will be looking at shape, colour, numbers and doing lots of counting. The children will be bringing home a set of number cards to support them with number recognition, counting and number correspondence.
We will be exploring lots of different media to make pictures, models etc.
We are looking forward to our next booknik which is the week commencing 20th November on the Wednesday morning and Thursday morning at 8:45 - 9:15, It is our Bedtime Anytime theme so please come in your pyjamas, bring a teddy and a favourite book. We look forward to seeing you all there.
