Welcome to Elf Owls
This term our topic is 'Global Gardens'. For the first half term we will be carrying out a geographical study comparing Crowle to Lestho in Africa. We will be learning about the similarities and differences between children, school, toys and food, with a particular focus on how food is grown.
In science we will be learning about plants and living things in their habitats.
In art we will be studying the work of David Hockney. We will be focussing on his photo collage work and his more recent use of the iPad to create some of his art work. We will then use digital media to create our own work in a similar style.
In PE we will be learning about performance dance and net and wall games.
In music we will be learning about beat and pitch.
In computing we will be learning about programming. We will be having a look at the 'hour of code'.

Book changing and reading count day is on Monday.
Please make sure your child's reading book and reading record are in school on this day so we can give them a new reading book and reward them for all of the home reading they have done. We aim for 3 reads to an adult per week. Don't forget to write in their reading record book so we can count up how many reads they have done during the week.
