What a brilliantly productive and busy half term we have had! Well done Forest Owls for all your patience and hard work!
In English, we started our new novel study 'The Explorer' which is a truly fabulous book by Katharine Rundell. We have used this and the amazon jungle for our reading and writing lessons. The children have engaged with the characters and the plot very well and are using the book to extend their vocabulary. in writing, the focus has been on description.
In maths we have focused on factors, multiples and prime numbers and also ratio and proportion of quantities and 2D and 3D shapes. In the last week we have focused on finding the mean average for a set of data and begun our work on statistics - drawing and interpreting line graphs and pie charts. We will continue this after Easter.
In addition we have enjoyed our gymnastics sessions and the sport challenges for sport relief. we also loved painting our eggs in the lead-up to Easter.
