We are committed to ensuring the very best outcomes for children and we are concerned that when individuals or 'bubbles' are required to self-isolate, that this may be detrimental to the wellbeing and the educational progress of children.
In order to reduce this, each teacher prepares a weekly home learning plan that aligns with the learning happening in school that week.
We understand that a child may be self- isolating and have symptoms of COVID-19, making them feel unwell. We would not expect home learning to be completed when your child is unwell.
However, it is vitally important, if well enough, that your child completes the learning detailed on the home learning plans, this will ensure that they are not behind their peers when they return to school.
We will also keep in touch with you and your child while they are isolating to support in any way we can.
As part of our developing excellence plan we are looking at ways to continually develop our home learning offer and will be updating parents on this throughout the academic year. If you have any suggestions about how we can better work with you, as parents, to support your child's learning, please let us know.
