Welcome Striped Owls!
For the summer term our topic is 'Global Gardens'. For the first half term we will be carrying out a geographical study comparing the UK to Lesotho in Africa. We will be learning about the similarities and differences between children, school, toys and food, with a particular focus on how food is grown. In science we will be learning about Plants and Living Things in their Habitats.

In art we will be studying the work of David Hockney. We will be focussing on his photo collage work and his more recent use of the iPad to create some of his art work. We will then use digital media to create our own work in a similar style.
In PE we will be learning about performance dance and locomotion (different ways of moving).
In music we will be using percussion instruments to compose simple pieces of music.
In computing we will be learning how to write code for simple computer programmes.
Our PE days are on...
Monday - Outdoor
Wednesday - Indoor
Please ensure your child's PE kit is in school on these days.
Your child will have their reading book checked on Mondays and changed on Tuesdays. Please ensure their book is in school on these days. We aim for your child to read to an adult at home at least 3 times a week. Please ensure this is recorded in their reading record. We appreciate your support in ensuring this is achieved each week.
