Drawing Club

We are excited to have started Drawing Club in class! Drawing Club is a creative approach that encourages children to use their imagination through drawing and writing. Each session begins with a story, followed by a drawing challenge linked to the book. The children then write their own special "secret codes" which make magical things happen in their stories and drawings.

At this stage of the year, we are focusing on forming single letter sounds correctly and giving meaning to our marks. As the children grow in confidence, they will progress to writing words and then phrases to bring their ideas to life.

It has been wonderful to see the children embracing the magic of Drawing Club, using their imaginations so enthusiastically and sharing their ideas with confidence. We are looking forward to seeing their creativity and writing skills develop throughout the year!
