Uniform
We are very proud of how our children dress in school, and encourage a sense of pride and belonging in the school. It is essential that children are dressed suitably and sensibly and follow the school uniform. Their dress should facilitate free participation in indoor and outdoor activities.
Our uniform is;
Top (jumper, cardigan, hoody)………......….....Navy blue (school logo is optional)
Shirt, blouse, polo sports shirt……………...….White
Skirt, pinafore…………………………………….Grey or black
Trousers, shorts………………………………….Grey or black
Summer dress…………………………..….........Blue and white gingham.
Shoes……………………………………………...Black traditional school shoes (not trainers)
Items of uniform are available to purchase from Price & Buckland, Their website address is pbuniform-online.co.uk/crowle. Uniform can be delivered free of charge to school or for a small charge to your home address..
Black traditional school shoes should be worn. No trainers or shoes/boots with heels are allowed for safety reasons. Any child wearing trainers to school will be asked to wear a pair of school’s black plimsolls for the day and we would expect them to come in dark shoes the next day. Children may wear suitable sandals in the summer.
It is essential that your child’s clothes are clearly labelled with their name. Our lost property is full of identical school jumpers with no name in them.
PE Uniform
We have a PE uniform and this is also available to purchase from Price & Buckland.
Our PE uniform is;
T-shirt…………………………………......Red (school logo optional)
Jogging bottoms……..………….....…....Navy Blue
Shorts……………..……………………....Navy Blue
Plimsolls (for indoor) ..…………….........Black
Trainers (for outdoors)………………......Any suitable (preferably black)
Children will be asked to come to school dressed in PE kit on the days that they have PE.
Uniform swap shop
Once a week we hold a uniform swap shop on the key stage 1 playground. This is organised by the school council. Items of uniform can be taken from the hanging rails and uniform that children have grown out of can be donated. Why not be eco-freindly and swap the unform when it does not fit your child any more instead of buying new.
Hair, Makeup and Jewellery
We ask that children have a ‘sensible’ hair cut and do not accept any extreme styles (for example tracks or designs shaved in hair) or unnatural colours.
For safety and security reasons we do not allow the wearing of jewellery at the academy. Rings, necklaces, etc. should not be worn at and where earrings are worn, these should be studs only, and should be removed on PE days. Watches may be worn by junior children but the academy accepts no responsibility for them.
Make-up is not seen as appropriate for children to wear during school session time, however they have the option to wear it at appropriate times such as the school disco. Coloured nail varnish is not allowed to be worn by children during school hours.
