Design and Technology

At Crowle Primary Academy, our Design and Technology curriculum is taught through the Kapow Primary scheme, which is carefully structured to ensure pupils gain a secure chronological understanding of the key skills.

The Design and Technology curriculum aims to inspire creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills in our children by providing opportunities to design, make, and evaluate products that meet real-world needs. It seeks to develop technical knowledge, practical skills, and an understanding of materials, tools, and emerging technologies. Through DT, children learn to think critically, work collaboratively, and apply principles of sustainability and functionality, preparing them for future careers and everyday life.
