Eagle Owls busy week

We have packed a lot in again this week. 

We are enjoying learning about WW2 through our work in English (studying Rose Blanche) and through our history topic. Today, we listened to some war veterans talk about their experiences in the Battle of Britain and this really helped us understand what it would have been like to be a pilot in WW2. 

In maths, we have been getting to grips with area - calculating the area of rectangles, triangles and parallelograms. 

In other subjects, we enjoyed a practical science lesson using the circuit equipment on Monday. In PE, we have had 2 excellent lessons this week - the first was a fitness circuit and the second was our 2nd lesson on rounders - the children really engaged wel in both sessions.
