Take One Picture Project, by Miss Chafer

We have been looking at the picture 'The Graham Children' by William Hogarth.
We studied the picture to see what we liked and would enjoy re-creating.
Year 3 and 4 decided that we liked the fruit bowl as it was a bright item in the dark picture. We drew the background of the image in black to symbolise the darkness of the artwork, and then contrasted this with the colourful fruit bowls.

Thsi year we have taken part in the Lions 'Roar' project. The children had to design and market a product to help make the world a better place. We took our finalists to Nottingham to present their idea to the judges. It was a fantastic day!
