A lovely week

It's been a great week in the Little Owls class! We have been reading 'Supertato' by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet. The children enjoyed listening to a number of different tales and made predictions about what might happen. During provision time the children had to rescue the carrots from the blocks of ice. We use cold, warm and salty water to see which one would be most effective at melting the ice. We have been practising scissor skills this half term and the children did a fantastic job of creating their own Supertato art, thinking carefully about the shapes they needed to cut. In maths the children have been learning to use rekenreks to practise counting and comparing skills.
