Little Owl ten frames

This week, we have been using ten frames to help us visualise numbers 5–10 as '5 and a little bit more'.

The children have been representing numbers using their fingers and counters. They have then used this knowledge to solve problems by working out the missing number when some of the counters are hidden. This has helped to develop their number sense and deepen their understanding of number composition.
