Little Owls 1 more and 1 less

The Little Owls have been learning how to find one more and one less within 10. We have been practising counting forwards and backwards using a large-scale number line, which helps the children to see how numbers change.

We have also used cubes to support our learning, allowing the children to work out one more and one less in a practical, hands-on way.

This important skill is helping the children develop their understanding of number sequences, as well as early addition and subtraction. We will continue to practise this throughout the half term to build confidence, fluency, and quick recall.
