The Great Explorer

The Little Owls have loved our focus text 'The Great Explorer' by Chris Judge. We have been focusing on understanding and recall of details from the story. After learning about emperor penguins in Antarctica last week, the children have been learning about the wildlife in the Arctic regions and comparing the two places.

The children took it in turns to act out Tom's journey, narrating the different things they spotted along the way. We have also be writing secret messages and drawing maps to show the journey across the Arctic.
